Pop singer Shakira, who recently visited a school in South Africa to interact with the students, thinks that a grand-scale event like FIFA World Cup can bring attention to issues like education in the world.
Also, rocking the stage in the grand ceremony had distinguished artists, John Legend, Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, and Colombian heart-throb rocker Juanes.
“I am honored that Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) was chosen to be part of the excitement and the legacy of the 2010 FIFA World Cup,” said Shakira. “The FIFA World Cup is a miracle of global excitement, connecting every country, race, religion and condition around a single passion. It represents an event that has the power to unite and integrate, and that’s what this song is about.”
Shakira continued, “African music is so inspiring and is poised to take its place on the global pop culture stage. I was proud to be able to work with one of South Africa’s most acclaimed groups, Freshlyground.” The song was co-produced by Shakira’s frequent collaborator, John Hill.
“We are thrilled to have collaborated with Shakira on Waka Waka (This Time For Africa), especially as we feel that the song captures the spirit and energy of the African World Cup,” said Zolani Mahola of Freshlyground. “We are certain the song will inspire people around the world to celebrate the gathering of nations at the place where it all started. Here in Africa!”

I do not quite undersrtand. Wouldn’t Thatcher like style be communicated better while emphasising the tendency to follow likings that is the base of European societies, together with enjoying strength, skill and social position. Add to this firendly friend to friend social relationships and it becomes understandable everyday thing? Like buying vegetables from the town market?

@thebomb667 I’ve never learned french, but in Spanish both boys and girls say the same words the same way, however, some items, places and people are identified as masculine or feminine. Such as a plate is masculine so you say ‘el plato,’ the plate. A napkin is feminine so you say ‘la servilleta,’ the napkin. Also, like the word for engineer is different when describing a female engineer as opposed to a male engineer ‘ingeniero/ingeniera.’ idk if that was what you were looking for…
